Meet The Doctors:

Meet The Doctor! Dr. Daryl Williams
Dr. Daryl was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2006. He began his career practicing medicine at a progressive North Dallas animal hospital before joining Hurst Animal Clinic in late 2009.

He believes in progressive, yet practical care and works to stay very current on issues and diseases that affect our four-legged loved ones (as well as some with wings and no legs!). Though all areas of Veterinary Medicine intrigue Dr. Daryl, his particular areas of interest are surgery, gastroenterology, dermatology, endocrinology, as well as progressive exotics medicine and surgery.

Dr. Daryl is a native of Stedman, North Carolina, but has been living in Texas since 1998. He grew up on a “mini-farm” and has always enjoyed caring for animals. Dr. Daryl feels that being a Veterinarian means lending a voice to the voiceless and helping to ease their suffering.

In his “spare” time, Dr. Daryl enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, camping, fishing, music, grilling and home improvement.

Meet Genny

Dr. Genny Cornell
General Practioner

Dr. Genny began working at Hurst Animal Clinic in June 2011. She is a native of Long Island, New York, and moved to Texas in junior high. Dr. Genny received a bachelor of science in animal bioscience from Penn State University and attended Texas A&M University for her veterinary training. Her professional interests include oncology, endocrinology and pathology.

Dr. Genny became a veterinarian because of her deep-seeded love of animals. She most enjoys the different aspects of the human-animal bond and fosters this relationship herself with six pets of her own. Dr.Genny, her husband Bart and their son have a bearded dragon named Lightening, three cats named Lila, Rosalind and Mogwai, and two dogs named Jackson and Yoshi Moto. While not taking care of animals at work or home, Dr. Cornell enjoys baking, cooking and taking roads trips. She is a member of Freedom Worship Church, a homeless ministry in Fort Worth.
